The Learning Tree
This learning and community gathering place is being developed as a community resource to teach new skills, store precious information about the indigenous peoples of Australia and to educate non-indigenous Australians about the culture and issues of the first Australians.

Established by the Townsville Thuringowa Community Justice Group, the site includes an online classroom providing training in major office software products.  Over 100 computer training courses are planned as well as assistance in business, job finding, budgeting, driver training, alcohol management, domestic violence, legal rights and indigenous history. Access to courses is free of cost to the learner.

In the future, this site will be shared with all indigenous communities across Australia and provide each area and group their own web pages as well as access to the learning materials housed on the site.
